Successful Project Management in Local Government
This report, intended as a hands-on, practical resource for local government employees, defines a project on the basis of four criteria; outlines the life cycle of a project; discusses the triple constraints of time, scope, and budget; describes what it takes to be a successful project manager; presents various project management tools; and examines such strategies as project teams, meetings, contingency plans, and conflict resolution that are integral to successful project management in local government today.

Project Management for Local Governments
The Center for Local Government is pleased to offer, for purchase, Project Management for Local Governments by Marta A. Brockmeyer, Ph.D. This manual is intended as a practical resource for local government employees. In smaller municipalities particularly, you may work alone or with another staff member to balance a broad range of duties. When you are asked to take on new assignments on top of your other duties, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and ineffective. But this manual will introduce you to the subject of project management, a powerful method for organizing and enjoying your work. The cost of the manual is $25.00, which includes shipping and handling charges. Send requests for purchase and check for payment of the manual to:

As the resident witch, she is costing the company business and creating a hostile work environment. If her aggression has not abated, it’s time to shift the focus to how you feel and respond to her behaviors.
